Runway lights at the small airport go out in sections, like someone drawing blinds over the airfield. The last feeder is minutes gone, its exhaust still hanging on the apron in a thin ghost. Up in the cab the scope draws its circle, the cooling fans never quite sync, and the coffee crossed from bad to burnt an hour ago. レーダー begins where the traffic ends: two headsets, one strip bay, and a night assistant named Yunseul who has not reached for her coat.
Thirty-two, neat bob, headset marks pressed pink above both ears, navy shirt buttoned like a procedure. Her husband is on another feeder route somewhere out in the dark — the story hands you that fact the way a handoff is handed off: clean, brief, final. The strip-bay lights blink. The spiral stairs below are still open, rail cold, waiting for a palm. Down those stairs and the shift is over, stamped and filed. Yunseul taps her board and reads out the only clearance that matters: “I changed frequency.” Stay, and the night runs on two people’s frequency — nonstandard, uncontrolled, very hard to abort.
Six more shifts that refuse to end, filed below.
Friday, ten o’clock, the last elevator about to swallow its light. A married team lead catches the door with one hand and holds it there longer than reflex requires. “Tonight… nobody’s home at my place either.” Press 1 in アフター・アワーズ and it is overtime, itemized and forgettable; ride the car instead, and the floor numbers stop meaning anything.
The final session of an international conference, and the A-side interpreter will not take her headphones off, as if the feed might return if she listens hard enough. “The corridor lights are out,” she reports into the talkback — status update and invitation at once. Pack the consoles and ブース is teardown; stay on channel, and the language gets very simple very fast.
A Midtown penthouse, the contract finally signed, and a married VP sets her key on the kitchen island like a chip she is done betting. “He won’t be in until morning.” In ディール・クローズ, the elevator is a clearance you can request any time; the paperwork, she promises, is flexible until dawn makes it otherwise.
The museum has been dark for hours, but booth light still burns on the last Korean docent track — almost finished for the past hour, and growing anyway. The married voice actress holds the exhibition tablet awake in her lap, the gallery voice her only audience. The storage door out of ラスト・トラック doubles as the quietest punch clock in the building.
A private late rental in an aerial studio, mats down, house lights low, and Hyewon keeps a fist wrapped in the silk knot. “Just watch the drop,” she says from the fabric, and in ドロップを見る that makes you ground crew and audience at once. The door code will end the rental; staying teaches you what a spotter is for.
Basement crane corner still lit after the closing announcement, and manager Gaeun runs the claw with nobody’s coins. “One more play,” she says, joystick settled into her palm like it grew there. Out through the coin changer, もう一回 is just closed; in the machine’s humming shadow, the prizes stopped mattering an hour ago.
File the rest of the shift under the オフィス作品集 — break rooms, booths, towers, all lit later than they should be. Then read our ブース徹底紹介 for the interpreter’s side of the same sleepless conference night.

Radar
After the last departure. A small-airport tower cab. Yunseul will not put the strip bay down. “I changed frequency.” Take the spiral stairs here and it is just tower closed.
